This was designed to let me utilize an ash vac attachment that originally had a gasket for round vacuum pipes. Since the Dyson has a peculiar pipe end with a protruding clip, the ash vac wasn't working. This straightforward adapter fixes that and should have other uses wherever it's necessary to connect a Dyson to a drum or another container.
