So my son gets a 3D printer for Christmas, and at just seven years old, he's already designing and printing on his own. He's changing filament, making designs on Tinkercad and Adobe Photoshop, and understands all the settings in Cura like a pro. Kids come up with ideas that I wouldn't even think of - it's amazing! His mom wanted a longer vacuum end for her Dyson to reach the bottom of the dryer lint box. The 9.5" she had was too short, so he finds this 7" one on Thingiverse and splits it in Tinkercad. He then stretches them taller to 8" each - just barely hitting the max height of the printer. Next, he creates a sleeve in Tinkercad for connecting them, even figuring out how to round the corners on the sleeve, which I didn't even know about. He tells me it's as simple as screwing the sleeve on, but when I assemble it, it fits so tightly that no glue is needed - just pure genius!
