Dyson V8 repair kit ( Soft brush )

When my soft brush started to vibrate, I decided to check what happened. It turned out that the shaft on which the bearing is mounted broke. The bearing housing has also cracked. I decided to carry out a modernization that would be more resistant to cracks. For the upgrade you will need a 625Z bearing and a 30mm M5 screw. I used the 625Z bearing because it is larger and has metal covers. The original bearing has plastic walls that are damaged by hair. We start modernization by removing all walls as shown in the second photo. Make sure that the new bearing housing rests against the wall. The bearing housing can be printed with a 0.28mm layer. I attached two housings with different bearing bore diameters of 16.15mm and 16.00mm. I used the 16.15mm version with 93% filament flow, so the bearing fit perfectly. Glue the bearing housing with instant glue ( Super Glue - cyanoacrylate) The shaft has an M5 female thread to make it clear with a layer of 0.2mm or less. I printed a roller with a 0.2mm layer and a filament flow of 93%. This made the thread strong and tight. I didn't have to use a tap. You can tighten the M5 screw tightly. Pay attention to photo number 6. I had to drill a hole so that the head of the screw would not touch the housing and in the future I would have to check if the screw is tight.
