Dyson V7 drill dust collector
thingiverse
This is a DIY drill dust collector attachment designed for use with Dyson V7/8/10/11 vacuum cleaners. The attachment was created by remixing two separate files and adding a stiffener to the dust collector, which was then scaled down to fit snugly into the adapter. This resulted in multiple components that were expertly glued together using Gorilla glue, a reliable adhesive for PETG materials. Unfortunately, the initial print of the dust collector failed near the top due to poor quality control, but rather than reprinting the entire piece, I opted to print the remaining parts separately and assemble them afterwards using Gorilla glue. The crucial component in this design is the tab, which must be printed with layer lines running from back to front for optimal structural integrity. To ensure a successful print, it's highly recommended to print the tab on its side, just like original creator joochung advised when designing the adapter. You have two options for printing the tabs: full or half size. I personally prefer the half tab design because it eliminated the need for support material and provided better stability during assembly. If you choose to print full tabs, be cautious not to break them while removing support material. To guarantee a successful print, I highly recommend using brim when printing both the adapter and dust collector components. This will help prevent warping and ensure a precise fit between the two parts. TinkerCAD link: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/gNXZV0HGWqp
