Ever Wanted a Shorter or Longer Wand for Your Dyson v7/8/10? With These Adapters, You Can Create Any Length Wand You Want Using 1 Inch Schedule 40 PVC Pipes. These adapters allow you to connect the PVC pipe to your Dyson vacuum and accessories, giving you the flexibility to use any length wand you desire. However, keep in mind that this wand will not be electrical, so you won't be able to power motorheads with it. But all other accessories should work just fine. There are two adapters: a male adapter that connects the PVC pipe to the Dyson vacuum and a female adapter that connects the PVC pipe to the Dyson accessory. The female adapter is a simple design, so there's only one file for it. However, the male adapter is more complex due to its fragile tab. The files are as follows: * 1in_Sch40_Adapter_Male_w_Tab.stl - This is the full model with integrated tab. You can try printing this one, but I haven't had much success. The tab tends to break near the end when printed. * 1in_Sch40_Adapter_Male_no_Tab.stl - This is the adapter without the tab. I highly recommend printing this one instead of the full model with a tab. * 1in_Sch40_Adapter_Male_Tab.stl - This is just the full tab. I suggest printing it on its side, making sure the layer lines run from back to front. Avoid printing it vertically at all costs. * 1in_Sch40_Adapter_Male_Half_Tab.stl - This is the recommended way to print the tab. Print two of these tabs and mirror one of them so that they form a full tab. My Recommendation: 1. Purchase and cut 1" Schedule 40 PVC pipe to your desired length. 2. Print one 1in_Sch40_Adapter_Female.stl - test fit it to the pipe, scaling it in X and Y as needed but not in Z. 3. Print one 1in_Sch40_Adapter_Male_no_Tab.stl 4. Print one 1in_Sch40_Adapter_Male_Half_Tab.stl 5. Print a mirrored version of 1in_Sch40_Adapter_Male_Half_Tab.stl 6. Glue the two half tabs together. 7. Attach the adapter without the tab to the glued half tabs, creating a full male adapter with a tab. 8. Wait for all the glue to cure completely. 9. Place the female adapter and the full male adapter on either end of the PVC pipe.
