My trusty Dyson tool's retention mechanism gave out on me! I decided to MacGyver a fix by gluing it back together - and it held up just fine. However, I wanted to have a DIY backup plan in place, just in case the original component becomes obsolete or difficult to source in the future. To ensure my homemade replica closely matches the original's sleek design, I aimed for a subtle curve along its body. As such, this custom part will necessitate some post-production refinement through sanding.
