Dyson Modular Accessory Rack

This is a versatile and expandable accessory rack designed for the Dyson V6 (and similar models). It can be mounted alongside the existing Dyson rack without using any existing sockets, or used completely independently. The individual components are designed to assemble into various types of racks, and additional sockets can even be added later if needed. The parts are engineered to connect with M3 countersunk screws and nuts. Since the components are relatively small, they should be printable on even smaller beds. There are multiple wall bracket options available (a picture is included for reference). When selecting a wall bracket, consider the following: * Additional hardware required: + M3x10 or M3x8 countersunk screws and nuts + Hex head screws for easier fitting + One spring per button. I used 5.6 x 17.5mm compression springs from a "Rolson 150 Piece Spring Assortment" set, which were too long so I cut them in half. * Notes: + These sockets won't accept the rigid extension tube, so it should be stored in the original Dyson rack (as shown). + Before fitting the button, ensure the edge of the hole and the button are smooth. + To fit the button, place the spring on the small peg in the body, then add the button on top of the spring. Place one pivot pin in position, then gently push the other side of the button until the second pin snaps into place (it helps to slightly bend the wall with a screwdriver as you do this). I printed mine in PLA and was able to fit all four buttons without any issues. + The joints have a single hole at the bottom, so they can be secured to the wall brackets with a single screw from below (to conceal it). * To attach the rack to the wall, fasten some 18x34 wooden batten to the wall with two screws, then attach the 3D printed brackets to that. This allows for a longer run of sockets without creating multiple holes in the wall. I've included the SketchUp file which demonstrates how the parts assemble. I'd love to see other makers create their own versions!
