Dyson Internal Hose Fix (DC4/DC41 920682-01)

<p>The hose broke on my Dyson - at first, I just heard a high pitched squeaking sound, with some loss of suction. Upon inspection, I saw the tab holding the "internal hose" (best guess is part number 920682-01) had broken, allowing the hose to back out partially (eventually totally) so the main floor tool wasn't getting suction.</p> <p>I took it all apart, only to find the part to be externally accessible. After my fantasy of printing the whole clip died once I saw how I'd have to disassemble the hose itself, I figured I could just make a clip to hold the clip in place, which I did.</p> <p>I put a little time into making it print-in-place, and while the screwhead fits a little tight, I was able to use it just by giving the screw a little push.</p> <p>I'm not going to spend more time resizing my photos than I did to design this. Pics at: <a href="https://photos.app.goo.gl/7pPYPkTBx6DacvJ77">https://photos.app.goo.gl/7pPYPkTBx6DacvJ77</a></p> <h3>Post-Printing</h3> <p>You shouldn't need a lot of cleanup - I printed with a brim and an unheated bed (summer!). If you heat the bed, you can skip the brim but be aware there is minimal adhesion area.</p> <p>Assembly: If your tab broke higher than mine, you may need to trim the broken clip back. Be sure to remove the old broken part of the clip, and keep the screw, you will reuse it!</p> <p>Once you have the part, push the hose all the way in the hole. Hook the clip behind the hose retaining ring, and tilt it into place. The line protruding on the inside of the part should latch the clip into place, a slight pressure will hold it down and it will (unreliably) stay there on it's own.</p> <p>Regardless of if you're holding the clip with your thumb or not, put the screw through the hole, and it should pull tight very quickly (~1-2 turns).
