Dyson Hair Dryer Accessory Wall Holder

Wife bought this insanely expensive hair dryer. OK, I love our Dyson vacuum, it's been going for a solid 12 years now and no complaints, so maybe it's worth the price. Guess my surprise when this hair dryer came with no wall hanger. You'd think a company that well versed in plastic injection moulded parts would come up with something nifty to put their premium product on the wall. Ah well. An hour of design work later, I came up with this. Also, you know what they say, happy wife happy life, and I need to justify having a 3D printing hobby every now and then. I divided it into two parts, so I could print the holder for the dryer in a better orientation. It's bolted on from the rear with self-cutting wood screws, 3,5 x 25 mm. I'll be honest, I only needed the top screw, the other three are really overkill. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: I3 MK3S Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 15% Gyroid Filament: Prusa PLA Galaxy Black Notes: Print one of each. You can print them together but I used different settings for the two parts so it makes more sense to print separately. You have to rotate it by 40° around the Z axis and print it in a "diagonal" orientation, otherwise it doesn't fit. Therefore I adjusted the layer orientation to 0° in Slic3r. See screenshot for clarification. Used 5 perimeters for the dryer holder so the clamp has no infill. Used 2 perimeters for the baseplate. I used Prusa Galaxy Black PLA, it's my favourite PLA material with that elegant little bit of glitter in there. Category: Bathroom
