Dyson DC41 Canister Release Button (top piece)

Updated... Added more support around the points on the piece that are stressed the most when the vacuum is carried by the canister handle. I own a Dyson DC41 Animal vacuum cleaner, which works great for my two dogs' shedding hair. However, I've had issues with the plastic release button on the canister breaking twice. This little part is sold in the UK but harder to find in the US, although it's available on EBay for about $16. When this broke on me the first time, I ended up buying a whole new canister for over $50. I decided to try modeling a replacement myself using OpenJSCAD and came up with this design. I made the top section of the piece more robust where the breaks occurred on the original part. This model may also work for the DC43 vacuum cleaner, but I don't have that model to verify it. I found out that the part is different for some users thanks to NovaCaine's remix (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2466123), so if you need the part with a built-in bottom pin, use his model. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 100% Notes: Due to normal use stresses on this part, it's best to print it on its side. You can use ABS or PLA, although ABS might be a better choice for strength. Because of the complexity of this part and how it should be oriented for printing, there will be a lot of support material, which is admittedly a pain to deal with and requires careful removal.
