I fixed my vacuum canister latch by designing a replacement part. The super glue just wasn't doing the trick, so I took matters into my own hands. I 3D printed the new part in PETG and was pleasantly surprised at how well it held up - strong enough to let me lift the vacuum easily by its handle. This was one of the most intricate parts I've ever designed, but it's exceeded my expectations so far. It's even less flexible than I anticipated, which is a great sign that it will last as long as I need it to without breaking down.
