I designed a dc-14 vacuum relief check valve bracket/cage for a friend after he expressed frustration with replacing this component multiple times. As his first design, it's fully functional although somewhat unrefined - you might consider adding some taper to the spring guide rod, but it seems to function perfectly well as is.
