A scale, functional Dyson Air Multiplier model was made by high school senior pre-engineering students for 3D printing. The air inlet is fitted with a small vacuum cleaner hose set on "blow." After testing and revising, two versions were printed: one small and another 24 inches in diameter. Rapid prototyping printers from Stratasys - Dimension 768 and 1200es at the local high school and community college were utilized. Working part drawings, assemblies, and related files are in Autodesk Inventor 10, with STLs also available for download.
