As of August 29th, I upgraded the ear-ends to be thicker and shortened them to ensure the zipties fit snugly in place. The 3mm lip around the motor remains intact. To give you a clearer view, I've added pictures of the printed mounts that show their actual dimensions. There are two distinct mounts available, each with different hole placements designed specifically for mounting the DYS 1806 motor. This thoughtful design allows the motor cable to be angled in such a way that it points towards the general direction of the multi-rotor's body, resulting in cleaner cabling overall. I deliberately mounted this assembly about an inch from the tip of the boom, ensuring that when I do crash, the boom will actually protect the propeller from hitting the ground. This serves as a makeshift prop protector. This design focuses on the motor mount for the DYS 1806 2300kv motor. The ear width has been set to 10mm to accommodate the 10mm wooden booms used in my tricopter, allowing the ziptie to securely bite into place. Additionally, I added a 3mm thickness to the motor disk, providing a protective lip around the motor in case it bumps into anything. This project marked my first foray into using OpenSCAD, and I was pleased with its accuracy.
