Dynamic Drawer Sorters

Dynamic Drawer Sorters

prusaprinters

I created these sorters for a craftsman tool box to separate small parts into bins. I figured they can be used for whatever purpose, but mostly for rectangular spaces to be sub-divided into smaller “bins”. In the SCAD parameters you can set the dimensions of the drawer or space you are trying to fit, and the number of compartments you would like to sort, and it will calculate the width of the required walls, including tolerances, and create a model with the post, short wall, long wall, and side wall. If you want to create just a single object (one wall or post), you can comment out the commands flagged under /* OBJECTS */ and leave just the one you want. Alternatively, you can comment them all out and just call the module yourself for a wall or post or side post of any particular size.
