My faithful collie slumbers in her cozy basket. I captured this scan with my trusty Kinect for Windows device, leveraging the RecFusion software (www.recfusion.net/index.php/de/). This cutting-edge technology allows users to record objects at a leisurely pace and create their 3D models afterwards. With its "one-place-license" advantage, purchasing the program grants full access to export capabilities. Although an active license is required for model exporting, savvy users can sidestep this hurdle by installing the demo version on another PC, eliminating the need for duplicate licenses. It's indeed a challenge to scan my canine companion! Whenever I walk around him with my Kinect in tow, he diligently observes every move. As a result, the most effective way to capture his image is when he's peacefully dozing off. In this instance, my scan nearly achieved perfection; however, some minor "bald patches" required software fill-in. I've also shared an additional example of him sitting up, which unfortunately didn't quite make it due to his decision to tilt his head playfully. It looks like we still have work to do in mastering the intricacies of 3D scanning...
