Dyer Vent Flap
thingiverse
The dryer vent cover uses the standard exhaust vent on the exterior of a house. When the dryer kicks in, it opens and when there's no heat, it falls back into place to seal the housing. I've made an updated version that's easy to print and very similar to the original but with a flat edge. The PLA version I printed lasted about 12 months but became brittle due to heat and weather conditions. However, my latest print for a neighbor using Taulman Bridge filament at 255C with a bed temperature of 40C and printing on blue painters tape covered with Elmer's glue stick worked great. This filament is incredibly strong and flexible, I'm expecting it to last well in this application! Print Settings: * Printer Brand: MakerGear * Printer Model: M2 * Rafts: Doesn't Matter * Supports: Doesn't Matter Post-Printing: This dryer vent cover easily snaps into place over the existing vent. I designed this using Fusion 360.
