Be cautious of thermal contraction. I printed with a 1.05 scale using ABS, resulting in a nicely formed thread and eyepipe. However, I had to sand down the thread carrier slightly since it came out too large. Perhaps different materials would be more suitable for this project, but I'm not entirely sure. It's remarkably simple to break the assembly into two pieces because of the slender connection between the thread carrier and eyepipe.
