Dye DAM Magazine loading tool
thingiverse
This is a loading tool designed specifically for Dye DAM magazines used in the Dye DAM and MG100 markers, as well as some custom builds that utilize the magazine system. The loader consists of three printed parts, four screws, and two springs. These components can be sourced from any hardware store; however, if you're having trouble finding the springs locally, they can easily be ordered online from a Chinese supplier. It took just five minutes to find the correct springs needed on an online marketplace. The slide also features optional screw holes that can be used to reinforce the slide part, preventing it from breaking off accidentally. Another option would be to print this part using either ABS or PETG for added strength. The required springs should have a diameter of approximately 10mm, a length (D) of 35mm, and a thickness (L) of about 0.8-1.0mm. Assembly can be a bit tricky due to the springs, but once they're in place, simply screw the top part onto the bottom part using four wood screws, and you'll have a functional loading tool. To use it effectively, place an old hopper or loader on top of the loading tool, fill it with paintballs, and then use a swab or rod to push down the followers of the mags until they click and are secured in place. Next, place the loading tool on top of the magazine, and slide it back and forth to load both halves of the magazine. Remove and repeat the process as necessary. The top ball will not fit inside the magazine, so you'll need to remove it unless you're placing that side into the marker, which would result in an additional shot on your first mag (remove the eleventh ball from the other compartment). I've included some extra files for those who may have springs with a different diameter. If you have springs under 10mm in diameter, use the STL files designed for those specifications instead of the standard 10mm ones. I've also provided solidworks files so that you can customize your own design if needed. Feel free to print these tools for personal use or to sell, but consider making a small donation for my design if you do choose to sell them.
