The Boosted Gear, or Red Dragon Emperor's Gauntlet, is a Sacred Gear wielded by Issei Hyoudou, listed among the thirteen Longinus. It houses the spirit of the Welsh Dragon, Ddraig. In ancient times, Ddraig clashed with its arch-rival, Albion, the Vanishing Dragon, in a battle interrupted by the ongoing war between angels, devils, and fallen angels. The enraged dragons assaulted the leaders of the Three Factions, causing their bodies to be annihilated and souls sealed within two Sacred Gears; Ddraig inhabiting the Boosted Gear, which later became a Longinus type. In appearance, the Boosted Gear is a scarlet gauntlet with a verdant jewel and two golden spikes that materialize on its user's arm. In the anime High School DxD, it initially resembles a Twice Critical. However, after a specific duration, it metamorphoses into a more dragon-esque gauntlet encompassing the hand and a significant portion of the arm.
