DX88 mount parts fixing Vertical antenna
thingiverse
My favorite hobby is operating a ham radio, and I recently had to deal with the aftermath of strong winds breaking my HF antenna (DX88). This was not the first time this has happened, as it's now occurred for the third time. In the past, I've had to replace the entire base assembly after each breakage, which was expensive and wasteful. This time around, I decided to take a different approach by ordering just the mount part replacement and using 3D printing to create new insulators from Nylon. I'm not convinced that this is the best solution, though. There were issues with the size of the fixing base assembly and the support structure, which didn't match up properly. Here are my print settings: Printer: Robo 3D R1 ABS + PLA Model Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 1.00% Notes: I'm using Nylon for this project.
