DX Commander base plate

My DX Commander All Band (80m to 10m) Vertical (https://www.m0mcx.co.uk/) kept toppling over due to relatively light breezes, I suspect because we've experienced so much precipitation that the ground beneath it is muddy and slippery. Here's my solution. Print as oriented with support. Stomp the tapered part of this device into the ground, then erect your DX Commander as usual on top of it, placing the screw-on base in the cup of the baseplate. The multiple spike model is designed for sand, although I haven't tested it yet. Now, new and improved with Nubs! I added three nubs, 120° apart, to the outer rim to help locating guys. Loop a string around your DXC just above the base, mark how far away you want your guy anchors, then use the nubs to set your guy points evenly. I encountered an issue when a plastic carabiner on a guy line came loose. The pole landed right on a steel wire in a trellis, snapping the third section from the top in two. Callum replaced my fiberglass pole at his cost, and I replaced the guy line carabiners with aluminum ones. Great customer service and a fantastic multi-band quarter-wave vertical! Thanks, Cal! de W4YBO If you download it, I'd really appreciate a like. I want this thing to exceed my Hair snagging drain unclogger (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1212451)
