Dwarven Steam Baths - OpenForge
thingiverse
Nobody knows more about moving steam and hot water through mountains than Dwarves, who leverage their knowledge to build perfect temperature steam baths deep within their mountain homes. These steam baths soothe aching muscles after long days of working forge bellows or mining precious metals. Gas is piped in to keep twin torches alight, while fresh warm water circulates constantly into the bath to wash away grime. This OpenForge release prints with no supports needed. Flames are optional for torches and print separately. The model was printed with three sidewalls to ensure good adhesion so it would hold water, then a heavy coat of clear varnish was brushed on after painting. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the bath is full of water. An idea was to drop an Alka-Seltzer into here to make it bubble and fizzle a bit. If this is inside an old abandoned Dwarven city, who knows what beasties might lurk inside? For instructions on how to get started with OpenForge, take a look at our tutorials.
