Dwarven Paragon Statue
thingiverse
I designed this dwarven Paragon for wargaming tabletop as a quest/land marker or as a decorative piece. I wanted it to be strong, detailed, and visually striking. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Up! To get the best results, I chose the Up Mini printer. This model is perfect for printing intricate details and complex designs. Rafts: Doesn't Matter I decided not to use rafts in this design, as they can sometimes create unwanted textures on the surface of the print. By omitting them, I was able to achieve a smoother finish. Supports: Yes The supports were a crucial part of this design, helping to hold the intricate details and prevent warping. With two layers of supports, I was able to get a strong and stable print. Resolution: 0.2 mm I set the resolution at 0.2 mm, which provided a high level of detail and precision in the printing process. This allowed me to capture every nuance of the dwarven Paragon's design. Infill: Coarse The infill was set to coarse, which added strength and durability to the print without sacrificing too much surface detail. This made it perfect for a decorative piece or a quest/land marker. Notes: Scale: 28.91 mm x 87.57 mm x 83.27 mm This dwarven Paragon is scaled to fit perfectly on my tabletop, standing at 28.91 mm in width, 87.57 mm in length, and 83.27 mm in height. Part properties: Angle: 45 Deg The angle of the print was set to 45 degrees, which helped to prevent warping and ensured a strong bond between layers. Surface: 3 Layers I chose three layers for the surface finish, which provided a smooth and even texture without being too prone to warping or cracking. Supports: Density: 2 Layers With two layers of supports, I was able to achieve a strong and stable print that could withstand handling and display. Angle: 40 Deg The angle of the supports was set to 40 degrees, which helped to prevent warping and ensure a strong bond between layers. Space: 12 Lines I left a space of 12 lines between each layer, which allowed for easy removal of supports and ensured that the print did not become too cluttered. Area: 15 mm² The area of the print was set at 15 mm², which provided a generous amount of surface space without being too large or unwieldy. Quality: Fast and normal worked fine In the end, I found that printing with both fast and normal settings worked perfectly for this design. The combination of speed and quality resulted in a strong, detailed, and visually striking dwarven Paragon that exceeded my expectations.
