Place these markers under your 25mm role-playing or war game figures to clearly indicate states. You can stack them and use various colors to distinguish between different states. I've found that establishing a consistent convention for color meaning across different battles isn't crucial - it's effortless to recall that orange signifies "on fire" even if previously it represented something else, like being paralyzed.
