Dwarf Rockstar

thingiverse

I've been working on a project for the Thingiverse Remix Challenge, and I'm excited to share it with you. The first model that caught my eye was bendansie's fantastic Bearded Yell bust, which features a dwarf character with a impressive beard. Using Meshmixer, I cut a chunk off the pedestal and rearranged the head/beard into the body parts used for my recent space dwarf model, Ulfer Ironhead. I've always wanted to use atartanian's Beefy Arms, so this was a great opportunity to do so. As I was posing them, I decided that this character would look best with a flying v guitar, which I cobbled together using bits from Roy-Tore Hofstad's awesome AMGP and TinkerCAD. I used Sculptris and TinkerCAD to create his rocky base, then ran him through netfabb. The result is a unique dwarf character that I'm really proud of. I've included both a "statue" version and a 28mm scale version for all you tabletop enthusiasts out there. To print this model, you'll want to use support material - it took us about 11 hours to print the statue version. If you're interested in helping us fund our projects, we've set up a Patreon page where you can contribute and help us create more free and open sourced games like Pocket-Tactics, Wayfarer Tactics, and others. We also have a growing catalog of gaming miniatures that you can use for your own projects - just let us know if you have any requests or commissions!
