Dwarf Crossbowman
thingiverse
I'm creating a custom crossbowman to complement my oldhammer/kings-of-war army, which I'll get around to painting eventually. I was inspired by PeculiarCompanions' sharpshooter, but wanted something more authentically dwarven to match other models in my collection. To achieve this look, I combined PeculiarCompanions' crossbowman with RenatoT's dwarf head. Additionally, I used Tyrdle's viking helmet as a starting point for the dwarven helmet. I'm considering creating a few variants with different heads to offer more options. When designing the figure, I kept resin printing in mind and thought about where supports would be most effective. The file includes a pre-supported version that worked well for me, which I've included. I prefer placing supports on smooth areas to avoid any blemishes after cutting or filing; hence the added elbow-cops. However, I'm unsure how this will print on FDM printers. Feel free to share your experience.
