DW735 to shop dust collection system adapter

<p>This is an adapter to connect my DW735 planer to my shop dust collection system. &nbsp;The supplied adapter with the DW735 has the collection system hose in line with wood exiting the planer. &nbsp;This adapter permits use of a right angle hose fitting to allow the hose to be moved to the side and out of the way of wood exiting the planer. &nbsp;This adapter is slightly tapered to ensure a tight friction fit to the existing planer outlet. &nbsp;It is also tapered slightly on the other end to secure a tight friction fit to the right angle elbow (that probably came from Rockler many years ago). &nbsp;I include the OpenSCAD file to allow for fine tuning in case your planer or adapter has slightly different dimensions or if you wish to alter the other dimensions of the adapter. &nbsp;I printed it vertically with PLA and include my gcode file. &nbsp;I also include the stl file in case my gcode isn't optimal for you.</p><p>My initial attempts at printing an adapter from files on the ‘net didn’t turn out well. &nbsp;I discovered that the DW735 outlet port is tapered slightly and my right angle adapter is not tapered. &nbsp;A second complication was my right angle adapter was not perfectly round although the DW735 was. &nbsp;I turned to OpenSCAD in some desperation and finally produced a print I am happy with. &nbsp;Along the way, I learned one of the features of PrusaSlicer allows an stl file to be sliced just above the print table to produce a thin ring print of the end of the adapter which can be tested for fit without printing the entire adapter. &nbsp;Printing this test ring only takes a couple of minutes and was a lifesaver.&nbsp;</p>
