DW Cash Register Pencil/Pen Holder (40 holes)
thingiverse
This thing is my Doctor Who themed cash register pencil/pen holder. As you can clearly see, it has 40 holes, a pocket, and a tray, perfectly designed to fit any sized pen or pencil - even those surprisingly large ones that are almost as big as your face. I had previously used a pencil holder with holes but some of the pens/pencils just wouldn't fit in, so I decided to create one that could accommodate all sizes. After sketching out a few concepts, I was curious and decided to make it look like those classic cash registers from old times that have keys similar to typewriters. It turned out to be really cool-looking! When I finished spacing out the holes and adding both the pocket and tray, I thought of adding some design elements on the sides and back. The sides proudly display "Pencil Holder Cash Register" while the back discreetly shows "Who", which was a clever touch considering the translation limitations. I'm currently using the print from the pictures above and personally love it. I hope you like it too! The website I used for the symbols on the sides and back is https://adrian17.github.io/Gallifreyan/. Warning: Depending on the type of infill you use, I recommend keeping an extra roll of filament on standby in case you run low during printing. Also, make sure to keep a close eye on it as it will take at least over a day and up to two days to complete due to its size (185mm x 220mm x 140mm). Ensure your 3D printer can handle prints of this size.
