DVO Fork Bleed Cup
thingiverse
This is an oil bleed cup/catch container used to service/bleed the damper unit in DVO 35MM stanchion forks. This cup is meant to mate to the 32MM hex nut shape of the fork damper, creating a practically leak-free seal. With this cup and a little patience, it is possible to perform a full oil change on the damper without any damper disassembly, as follows: - Remove damper from fork - Remove 2.5mm bleed screw - Turn damper upside down, cycle it many times to drail old fluid. Leave upside down overnight preferably. - Attach cup, fill with fresh (3WT) oil. - Cycle damper repeatedly while keeping oil level up in cup. - Let damper sit upright for a few minutes at a time, to allow air bubbles to rise - Keep cycling damper until no air bubbles are seen coming out. It would be ideal to print this using a light colored/transparent filament, but I happened to have black on hand at the time I made it.
