Shelf brackets for DVDs were designed with 1/2-inch OD hydraulic tubing in mind, since that's what was readily available. They can easily be adapted to accommodate 1/4-inch round stock all the way up to 1/2 inch without requiring any structural modifications. Each shelf requires two bars, which can be as long as needed, provided you stay within reasonable engineering limits. The brackets also feature a clever interlocking design that allows them to stack on top of one another. For added stability, simply attach a mirror to the X-shaped bracket. On August 24th, 2018, a crucial update was made: a stay was added to prevent DVDs from toppling over when the rack is not fully loaded - it's perfectly suited for 1/2-inch round stock.
