Dutch Braille Constellation Bookmark

The task was to craft a customized bookmark for someone or something truly special. The guidelines specified that the design had to incorporate three key elements: tween, evening, and the Netherlands. Our approach involved creating a bookmark for visually impaired children that utilizes Dutch Braille. This innovative project features two well-known constellations: Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. By focusing on kids, it naturally engages tweens. The theme of constellations perfectly captures the essence of evening, while raised dots on the paper enable visually impaired individuals to easily interpret the design. Lastly, we incorporated the Netherlands by using Braille written in Dutch, making this project a unique representation of the country's culture and language.
