Dustless sander with osVAC connector
thingiverse
A dustless sander inspired by a famous tool brand. Designed with OpenSCAD so it can be customizable : base and handle dimensions, suction holes number and diameter. It use the wonderfull osVAC system for vacuum connection :https://www.thingiverse.com/hobbyhimmel/collections/20080684/things This sander needs a hook and loop tape to stick the sandpaper. I personnally bought this one : https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B017JFWLAU Ideally, it should be used with mesh sandpaper (like the Mirka Abranet one). Standard sandpaper can also be used, you just need to punch the holes. I did that with a drill, it's a bit tedious but it works. Just be careful not to go to far :) To make this step easier, I designed a "holes finder" than you can select in the script. The sander should be side printed. Supports is obviously needed, but not everywhere. You'll have to remove supports in some location as shown in the screenshots. I printed it in PLA. After 2/3 hours of use, it seems to be fine. To be used, the OpenSCAD script needs two things : - the excellent Round-Anything library, used for the handle : https://github.com/Irev-Dev/Round-Anything. Installation instructions here : https://github.com/Irev-Dev/Round-Anything/discussions/21 - osVAC M32 adapter by [tokenizer](https://www.thingiverse.com/tokenizer) : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5347855. Put the stl file in the same folder as the .scad file
