When working at my hardware workbench, tiny bits of wires, solder, pins and other scraps tend to fly off all around the table/room when I cut wires and boards. They are a huge pain to clean and can cause trouble if they get into computers and other equipment. So I made this simple dustbin to catch small fly-offs. You will just need to do cutting work near the inlet and the shape of the inlet should be quite efficient in making sure most bits drop into the bin below. The bin can be laid down and used as a normal bin when you are not doing cutting work. Print Settings Resolution: 0.2 is enough Infill: 40? Notes: printing the top part upwards can reduce support Post-Printing assembling the two extrusions at the bottom of the top part are used to fit with the bottom bin. the bottom bin has an opening of 53*50mm to fit the top inlet, be careful to fit the two pieces together in the right direction. you can check the picture for the completed result. P.S. tape a bit of tissue paper in the inside of the inlet can make it softer and better in catching bigger fly-offs. Category: Electronics
