I mounted the Makita motor to the OX Metal base from Schematix as my starting point. Next, I built a dust collection shoe that attaches to it, securing it with T-Nuts directly to the Z-axis plate. The upper portion of the shoe features two open channels which allow me to insert an endoscopy camera to monitor what's happening inside, as well as a needle for spraying alcohol onto the bit when milling aluminum.
