Dust Protection Anet A8
thingiverse
Hello, after 38 days and 11:34 hours of printing and using 11223 meters of filament, I finally have a clogged nozzle. The reason is dust. Unfortunately, the cooling fan from the extruder blew dust directly onto the filament right before it entered the hotend. I had an existing dust filter (you can see one in my Things collection), but it was located before the cooling fan. After cleaning the nozzle, fan, and head sink, I needed to find a solution to this problem. Here's my easy, cheap, and quick solution: To make this, you'll need the following items: * A cutter * Scissors * Transparent foil (I used laminate foil because it's strong after laminating) * Transparent tape For more information, please see the pictures. If you have a similar problem or an improvement for this solution, let me know. Sorry for the unrelated thing in this post. This has nothing to do with dust protection, but Thingiverse requires threads to be accompanied by an *.STL file to go online. This thing is part of my "Only You Need This" collection.
