Dust Port Attachment for Bosch 1617 Plunge Base Router
thingiverse
This dust collector port fits any vacuum port with a ~1.25" nozzle. The neck tapers to 1.25" about halfway down, creating a snug fit. The hose shown is from the car cleaning kit for Rigid shop vacs. I designed this adapter for compactness, so it's made to fit a specific size. Two M4.7 x 12mm screws attach it to the router, but hand knobs would be ideal for quick install and removal. Although, leaving it on all the time doesn't seem like a bad idea. I can confirm that this adapter works with Bosch 1617 model routers. If someone can confirm it works with any other routers, please let me know. I'd appreciate hearing from you. This print is straightforward on my Monoprice Maker Select V2. The dust port is at a 45-degree angle, requiring no support. I printed this in PLA, but there's no reason it shouldn't work in ABS as well. Print settings include temperatures of 195c/60c for PLA. This design isn't complicated. Tips are welcome, but don't feel obligated to do so! I'd love to see pictures from anyone who makes this model. This is my first upload to Thingiverse and my first 3D printed part that I designed myself. Thanks for looking.
