Dust Mop Hanger
thingiverse
My wife required a method to hang her dust mop without the need for a hole at the handle's end. I designed and printed one that snapped onto the end, featuring a 5mm hole to accommodate the 4mm hook she preferred. The inner diameter is a full 0.2mm larger than the handle's diameter. It snaps securely into place but slides and rotates smoothly along the handle without any wobble. I initially created the first prototype at a 0.2mm layer height, which proved too loose. The final design wraps snugly around the handle by several millimeters more. Due to the late start time, I didn't mind if it took all night, so I printed it at an incredibly fine 0.05mm layer height. It ultimately required a lengthy 4 hours but turned out perfectly. The print was done in black ABS material. Print Settings: Printer: MonoPrice MakerSelect Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Any layer height should work suitably well. A complimentary FreeCAD file is included, allowing you to modify it as needed to fit your specific requirements.
