In my woodworking workshop, I utilize HT DN50 tubes to link the vacuum cleaner with various tools such as the table saw. To control airflow, I created a valve consisting of a housing and a slider. The bottom and top sides can be printed with either male or female connectors. The male connector, which resembles a tube, offers two diameter options: outer or inner diameter matching that of a DN50 tube. When using the outer diameter, it will fit snugly inside a standard DN50 female tube connector. Conversely, when using the inner diameter, it fits perfectly into a regular tube. The female connector accepts a standard DN50 tube. I printed the housing with support material, which can be removed in the direction of the slider. This process may require some force, and a flat file is ideal for this task. The slider should be slightly smaller than the opening to ensure smooth movement. To achieve this, set the delta according to your printer's precision level. If it still fits too tightly, a bit of filing will resolve the issue. This design is highly customizable and can be scaled up or down for use with different tube sizes. However, I have only printed and utilized it for DN50 tubes thus far.
