Dust Commander Cyclone Separator - Ryobi 18v Vacuum Attachment.
thingiverse
I got an incredibly awesome Dust Commander cyclone separator for my woodworking buddy for Xmas, but I thought it could be improved upon. I had a motor and fan from a Ryobi One+ 18v 'dust buster', so I repurposed it as a press-fit vacuum unit for this cyclone separator. (I wish I knew whether the fan came from the blue version or the green version Ryobi - if you dare, take on the challenge!) Be warned - this is loud! Ear protection should always be worn when operating. Additionally, this device generates massive suction for what it actually is! Instructions You'll need to print one of part 1, and two of part 2. For optimal results, maintain the orientation as shown in the design. Part 2 will require support to hold its shape properly. You'll need 4x thin (M3) bolts and 4x approx 3mm diameter plastic screws for assembly. These plastic screws can be sourced from an old Nerf gun or toy - simply strip away any unnecessary parts to reuse them. I have included two printable base plates in case you need an extra one. Note: I've had no experience with using this as yet, so proceed at your own risk.
