Dust collection transition hood for Grizzly 1026 wood shaper
thingiverse
I needed a way to catch the dust and chips my Grizzly 1026 wood shaper produced. I designed this transition to fit on the back of the fence (as can be seen in the picture) and connect to the 4 inch flex hose for my dust collector. I enlarged the existing 4 holes in the casting to accommodate 10-32 machine screws since I did not have any metric hardware. When I sliced this in Cura 5.5 for my Ender 3V2, the time estimate was over 36 hours. I wanted to try a larger nozzle, so I drilled out one of the existing brass nozzles with a #61 drill bit. This gave it an equivalent 1mm nozzle size. After changing the setting for the new 1mm nozzle, the estimated print time went down to just over 10 hours. This printed great, and the print seems as strong as any other I have done. It is also much smoother than I thought it would be.Thanks for looking :)
