I built a dust boot for my Shapeoko CNC router, specifically designed to fit the Carbide or Makita spindles. To create this boot, I utilized a 1 7/8" Rigid vacuum hose from Home Depot, which features a press fitting that allows easy installation and removal. This hose can be trimmed to any desired length and still retain its rubber fitting, enabling secure connections throughout. For the brush component, I purchased one from Amazon and securely fastened it into the dust boot using tight-fitting tabs. Additional support was provided by applying hot glue to ensure a solid bond. To assemble this dust boot, you will require 2 M4 X 20 socket cap screws, 2 M5 X 12 socket cap screws, and their corresponding nuts.
