Durafly Tundra - Rear Float Mount
thingiverse
This is a replacement float mount specifically designed for the Durafly Tundra, featuring captured nuts glued into place, and M3 machine screws instead of the self-tapping ones that come with the aircraft. To install this part, you'll need to remove foam from several areas beneath the old mount. Simply press the new part into place and identify where the foam is being compressed. To complete the installation, you will require M3x10 machine screws and M3 nuts. I printed this replacement in PETG with the bottom surface facing up, just like it appears in the provided photo. The print was set to 60% supports, which I believe yields the strongest results. To remove the old mount without causing damage, follow these steps: soak the entire part with WD40, paying special attention to all cracks and crevices. WD40 is surprisingly effective at dissolving the glue used by HK on this particular model, allowing for a clean removal process. In my experience, 2-3 applications of WD40 were necessary to successfully remove the old mount without sustaining significant damage.
