Durafly Tundra RC Airplane Tail Strut Supports
thingiverse
Remix of Tail Strut Supports for Hobby King Durafly Tundra. The flimsy strut supports included with the kit failed when gluing, causing frustration. I re-engineered the tail strut support system to eliminate the need for cutting foam or adding supports during printing. This design upgrade ensures a seamless build process. Use the high-strength carbon fiber tail struts provided with the model and remove the heat shrink protection. Insert the carbon fiber strut into the top and bottom strut supports, making sure to secure them properly. To achieve a strong bond, sand the bottom of each strut support several times using 100-grit sandpaper to roughen the surface. Clean all joining areas thoroughly with rubbing alcohol before applying E6000 glue. Allow the assembly to dry overnight under clamps, ensuring a solid hold. Finally, drill small holes in the plastic on either side of the tail and secure them with the provided screws.
