Durafly Tundra - Landing Gear Mount

Durafly Tundra - Landing Gear Mount

thingiverse

This is a replacement for the landing gear mount for the Durafly Tundra, designed with captured nuts glued into the part, and M3 machine screws instead of those self-tapping ones that come with the model. The fit down the sides of the fuselage isn't perfect - but this part's complexity made me tired of doing print tests. It's good enough for me. You'll need to remove foam in a few areas from under the old part for it to fit properly, just press this part into place and then see where the foam is being compressed. You'll require M3x10, M3x15, and M3 nuts to complete the job. I printed this in PETG, with the bottom surface facing up (the way you see it in the photo). The print had 60% supports, but I think that's the strongest way to print it. To remove the old part cleanly, simply soak it in WD40. I discovered by accident that WD40 dissolves all the glue that HK used on this model. I had to apply WD40 two or three times for the part to come out without much damage. Check out my other things, including the tail wheel mount and rear float mount.
