Durafly Tundra Battery Tray
thingiverse
A custom battery tray designed specifically for the Durafly Tundra's spacious body accommodates a standard 2200mah power pack. To bring this design to life, you'll need to print it out in two separate halves and then carefully glue them together using a strong cyanoacrylate adhesive. To simplify the process of locating the tray before gluing, small pins are strategically positioned on each half. These pins allow you to precisely position the tray within the fuse foam once you've determined the optimal center of gravity (CoG). Simply press down on the tray until the pins securely dig into the foam. Once you're satisfied with its placement, carefully remove the tray and apply a small amount of glue to the base. As the adhesive dries, you'll be able to feel the holes that will guide the tray back into place. A durable velcro strap is recommended to secure the power pack in position. While it doesn't need to be overly tight, tightening it slightly can help prevent the battery and tray from colliding with the nose of the aircraft during a rough landing.
