DuPont Connector Plugs (Polarising Keys)
thingiverse
After making my own unified front panel connector by moving the separate connectors onto a 4x2 DuPont connector block, I couldn't find a way to key the connector. I think I found one place selling plastic stoppers but international shipping was crazy expensive. So I decided to make my first self-designed 3D print. Given the small size of these, a high-quality print mode might be needed; I just tested using PLA with Super Quality (0.12mm) in Cura and that worked for me, although I've got some really bad stringing problems at the moment (as you might notice from the photo)! These are certainly more functional than they are beautiful :) NOTE: at the moment, if you push the blocked pin hole onto a pin it's likely to just push out the plug. Considering adding a small notch to these to engate with the tabs on the connector blocks so this doesn't happen, but that is going to wait for now!
