Duplo ionic column

Duplo Ionic Column Based on Vitruvius' Proportions This design consists of three distinct sections - base, shaft, and capital - with an additional half-height version of the shaft included for flexibility. The only component requiring additional support is the capital section; the other parts can be printed without supports although they may exhibit slight sagging on the interior due to their shape. The model was created using white PLA plastic, which offers a smooth finish suitable for showcasing intricate details. However, ABS would likely provide an even more polished appearance and durability, much like the Greek columns of old, which were typically adorned with vibrant colors through painting techniques. For users who need to adjust the tolerances or modify any aspects of this design, I have included the OpenSCAD file. Please be aware that compiling this model can be a lengthy process, particularly for complex components such as the capital, which took over an hour to compile on my laptop.
