Duplo Crane Crank
prusaprinters

The handle of a Duplo toy crane broke. I decided to replace the whole crank and created a model with multiple parts. They fit together nicely, no glue needed.

The cord is passed through the hole in the axle and fastened with a knot that is hidden inside the axle.

On my first try, the printed handle broke quickly because of the vertical print direction. That's why I decided to split the handle into two parts with a separate pole, so I could at least replace the handle's pole easily. It didn't break since, but if it does, I would try an adjusted layout with a pole that can be printed lying horizontally on the print bed.

The axle needs to be printed with supports.

I printed this model with PLA at 0.15mm layer height with 15% infill.
