Duplicator i3 Hotend / Print Area LED Holder
thingiverse
Please note that this will require using an M4 x .7 tap to thread the two bottom existing holes on the lower X-axis bearing carrier, and you will need two - M4 x 6 or 8 button/cap head screws. This is a holder for an automotive 12v dome light LED bulb to illuminate the print area / bed so that you can see the extruder / hotend. I simply removed the cover on the ends of the LEDs, soldered wires to the rear of the LEDs, and crimped on some ends. I made a small Y-harness to draw power from where the bigger fan (40mm) plugs in so that the LEDs will be on as soon as the printer is powered up. The bottom holes on the lower X-axis bearing carrier need to be tapped to M4 x .7, and then use two - M4 x 6 or 8 button/cap head screws to mount the holder. Like my creations?
